Hawaii Agriculture Advisory Commission

Minutes and Agendas

The Hawaii County Agriculture Advisory Commission (AAC) advises the Mayor on sustainable agriculture development strategies and programs that preserve Hawaii County’s rural lifestyle and character, and recognizes the economic and cultural contributions of the agriculture industry to the Hawaii County economy. The Commission also provides advice on the implementation of the 2010 County of Hawaii Agriculture Development Plan, focusing on establishment of policies relating to agricultural water, land, labor, housing and food sustainability; allocation of resources for agriculture infrastructure, marketing, research, extension, education and information dissemination; and advocacy for the growth of agriculture on the island of Hawaii.
